Apps

Coming soon.

Our first app is finished being built and is being finished properly — which is a different and slower thing.

In review

The first one is close.

We are not going to describe it before it exists. What we will say is that it is the kind of app this studio was started to make: small, daily, offline, and honest about the handful of things it sends.

When it is out, this page becomes its page.

The standing promise

What is true of anything we ship.

You should not have to take a new app on trust every time. These hold for the first one and for every one after it.

It works offline

If a thing can be computed on your device, it is. You should be able to turn the network off entirely and still have a working app.

The private parts are fenced in code

Where data must not leave the device, a check in the code refuses to send it. Not a policy line — a mechanism, in the path every write has to pass through.

No ad SDKs, no analytics SDKs

No third-party tracking library goes into the binary. Nothing profiles you across apps, because there is nothing in there that could.

Arabic and English, both native

Right-to-left is designed, not mirrored. Arabic numerals, Arabic line heights, Arabic typography — in the layout, not on top of it.

You can take your data and leave

Export in a format you can open, and a delete that actually deletes — on the device and on any server, in the same action.

No dark patterns, priced honestly

No fake urgency, no subscription hidden behind a close button that moves, no notification designed to guilt you back. The price is the price.

How you will hear

No waitlist, on purpose.

Collecting email addresses for an app that does not exist yet means holding personal data we have no use for, in order to send you something you did not ask for twice. We would rather not hold it.

This page changes on launch day, and so does the home page. If you want to know, check back — or write to us and we will reply when it is out.

Want to be told directly?

Send one line to hello@ and we will answer it on launch day. That is a mailbox, not a mailing list: no automation, no unsubscribe footer, and nothing added to any system.
